Jerry Mullins, age 86 passed in peace on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Fort Mohave, Arizona. He was born July 31, 1932 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wint and Willie Mullins; sisters, Maggie Smith, Ruby Bryant, Jane Hunter; step-daughter Shannon Lucille Tillotson.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia, son Jerry David of OH, daughter Debbie of OH, step-sons James of OH, John of IA, and step-daughters, Tammy of NE, Melodie of WY and Merideth of WY, cousin Melinda of VA and fourteen grand-children, six great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Jerry will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, proud patriot and US Navy veteran of the Korean War. While on active duty, Jerry served on the USS Shields and was awarded the Korean Service, Japanese Occupation, China Service and United Nations campaign ribbons.

Jerry enjoyed many things in his life. Some of his favorite times were traveling the country with his wife, always making an effort to drop in and visit his children, siblings, cousins and grand-children along the way at a moment’s notice. Food was something to be celebrated and thoroughly enjoyed in variety – never wasted. You could expect a meal to include something new and interesting. Jerry enjoyed watching sports and westerns on a BIG tv as loud as possible so as not to miss anything; playing dominos or cards without table talk; listening to classic country music; and drinking beer.

Jerry was passionate about fishing and playing golf (while drinking cold beer). Many a day were spent on the golf course with anyone who would play and he took pride in teaching others the skill. He was happy as a clam on his pontoon boat, fishing at Lake Mohave or riding his ATV around the desert.

One of the most notable things to recall about Jerry was his dedication to family and hard work. Throughout his life he held many titles, including Vice President for Service Management for Chevrolet in Dayton, Regional Manager for Bingo, Maintenance Supervisor for Burns Brothers, and Fuel Consultant for TA Truckstops through his own company, Cross Country Services.

Jerry had a way of taking complicated problems and turning them into simple solutions and practiced that everyday in his life. He shared his wisdom and taught us many valuable lessons that we will cherish and pass on to others.

We wish to celebrate and honor his memory by asking that you share your fond memories of him in the stories you tell. No services are planned at this time.

We would like to thank the staff of Comfort Keepers of Bullhead City and Living Waters Hospice for their dedicated and wonderful care of Jerry.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Living Waters Hospice, 3711 Highway 68 Golden Valley, AZ 86413.
